Cranbrook Bucks commit Loke Södergren for 2023-24

The Cranbrook Bucks (BCHL) are happy to announce that they have committed defenseman Loke Södergren for the 2023-24 season.

Södergren, a 2003-born defender, comes to the Bucks after posting some stellar numbers with the Malmo Redhawks J20 program in his native Sweden. In the 2022-23 season, he put up 10 goals and 30 points through 50 games.

Bucks head coach and general manager Ryan Donald says Södergren has the ability to create offense from the blue line, and he’s very detailed with his defensive play while not shying away from physicality.

“While there will certainly be a transition to the North American style of play, we believe his skillset matches that of some of our previous defensemen that have had a lot of success in our program,” says Donald. “With his goal to play in the NCAA, we are excited to have Loke using the BCHL to pursue that goal this coming season.”

The Cranbrook Bucks wish to welcome Loke to the organization and the City of Cranbrook.
