The Cranbrook Bucks are congratulating owner and president Nathan Lieuwen for being recognized by the BCHL as the league’s top executive for the 2022-23 season.
Last season, the Bucks set franchise benchmarks for wins (36) and points (76) while taking a second place finish in the Interior Conference standings. The club also posted the third-highest average attendance in the BCHL through the regular season.
It was also a busy season off the ice for Lieuwen who began laying the groundwork for a new hockey academy which is set to take shape in Cranbrook for the 2023-24 season. This will give local families an option to have their children play hockey at the academy level without having to leave town.
The Cranbrook Bucks thank Lieuwen and his wife Breanne for their leadership since launching the hockey club in 2019, and for their dedication to the community.
