Bucks welcome Kaslo Ferner for 2023-24

The Cranbrook Bucks (BCHL) continue to grow as the club introduces its latest commitment for next year’s roster.

The Bucks are pleased to welcome 2006-born forward Kaslo Ferner to the herd for the 2023-24 season.

Ferner, a native of Kelowna, joins the Bucks after spending last season with the U18 AAA Okanagan Rockets of the BCEHL where he notched 32 points through 30 games.

The young forward will be a familiar face to his teammates, coaches and Cranbrook hockey fans as he was called up for four games with the Bucks through the 2022-23 season, picking up 2 goals and 1 assist.

Bucks coach Ryan Donald says Ferner has impressed staff since he originally attended the club’s 2022 Spring Development Camp, he also praised the young forward for his intensity in the way that he plays the game.

“Kaslo showed an ability to adjust to the pace of play in the BCHL quickly and was productive in the games he was able to play with our team,” Donald says. “Getting to spend time with him and learn more about him as a person allowed our staff to recognize the characteristics that he has as a person, and believe he will be a great fit with our organization.”

The Cranbrook Bucks wish to welcome Kaslo to the organization and the City of Cranbrook.
