Bucks Fall in Overtime Heartbreaker, Trail Series 3-1

The Cranbrook Bucks dropped a hard-fought Game 4 of the Rogers BCHL Conference Finals 4-3 in overtime to the Brooks Bandits on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Western Financial Place. The Bandits now lead the best-of-seven series 3-1.

In front of a loud crowd of 1,569 fans, the Bucks showed tremendous resilience and battled back from deficits multiple times, but an early OT winner sent the game to the visitors.

  • 1st Period: Harijs Cjunskis opened the scoring for Brooks at 4:44. Cadel Gourlay tied it for Cranbrook with a punch shot from the point at 10:09 (assists: Samuel Lyne, Leyton Stewart).

Goaltending Battle Jason Tremblay delivered a heroic performance in a losing cause, making 44 saves on 48 shots. Zach Zahara earned the win for Brooks with 21 saves on 24 shots.

The Bucks showed real fight, erasing deficits twice and generating quality chances despite being outshot. Nathan Simm’s shorthanded goal and Adam Csabi’s third-period equalizer gave the home crowd plenty to cheer about, while Tremblay kept the team in it all night long.

The series moves on to Game 5 on Friday, May 8, in Cranbrook. The Bucks will need to win to continue their magical playoff run.
