Bucks Advance to Next Round with 4-2 Game 7 Victory over Silverbacks!

The Cranbrook Bucks are moving on to Round 3!

In a hard-fought winner-take-all Game 7 on Tuesday, April 28 at Rogers Rink in Salmon Arm, the Cranbrook Bucks defeated the Salmon Arm Silverbacks 4-2 to win the BCHL Interior Division Final series 4-3.

After trailing 2-0 in the series, the Bucks showed tremendous resilience and character, winning three of the last four games — including two elimination games at home — to force Game 7 and then close out the series on the road.

Scoring Summary

  • 1st Period Leyton Stewart opened the scoring at 6:01 (assists: Kaslo Ferner, Grant Denuccio). Salmon Arm tied it at 7:36 when Luke Lepper scored (assists: Jared Rothman, Chase Campbell).
  • 2nd Period Scoreless, with both teams trading chances and strong defensive play.
  • 3rd Period Teo Pisani gave the Bucks the lead at 12:19 (assist: Shane Tronoski). With the Silverbacks’ net empty late, Adam Csabi scored an empty-net goal at 18:05. Mitch Patrick added another empty-netter at 18:51. Keifer Miller scored a late consolation goal for Salmon Arm at 19:25 (assist: Aidan Shirey).

Goaltending Battle Jason Tremblay was outstanding, making 25 saves on 27 shots to earn the win and first-star honours. Daniel Dirracolo stopped 19 of 21 shots for the Silverbacks in the loss.
