Bucks Explode for 5-2 Win in Game 3, Cut Series Deficit to 2-1
The Cranbrook Bucks delivered a dominant home performance on Tuesday night at Western Financial Place, defeating the Salmon Arm Silverbacks 5-2 in Game 3 of the BCHL Interior Division Final. The victory narrows the series to 2-1 in favour of Salmon Arm and breathes new life into the Bucks’ playoff campaign.
In front of an energetic crowd of 1,389 fans, the Bucks came out flying and built a commanding 3-0 lead in the first period alone. The offensive outburst set the tone for the night and gave the herd plenty to cheer about.

- 1st Period: Nathan Simm opened the scoring at 6:28 (unassisted) off of a bounce behind the Salmon Arm goal. Mitch Patrick made it 2-0 at 13:11 (assist: Camden Charron) picking the top corner. Konstantin Hutzinger extended the lead to 3-0 at 14:06 (assists: Jack McMinn, Cadel Gourlay) with a wicked wrister of his own.
- 2nd Period: Hutzinger added his second goal of the night at 0:35 on the power play slamming home a rebound of the pads of Dirracolo (assists: Adam Csabi, Kaslo Ferner), making it 4-1 after Cole Longacre scored for Salmon Arm at 3:27.
- 3rd Period: Hutzinger completed the hat trick at 5:00 (assists: Nathan Simm, Mitch Patrick) on a quick shot from the slot to push the score to 5-1. Landon Mackie replied for the Silverbacks with a power-play goal at 7:58.
Goaltending Battle Jason Tremblay was outstanding for the Bucks, turning aside 38 of 40 shots for a stellar .950 save percentage and earning the win. On the other side, Daniel Dirracolo stopped 21 of 26 shots in the loss for Salmon Arm.
