Cranbrook Bucks defenseman Bryce Sookro has won the BCHL’s award for being the top defenseman in the league. Sookro led all BCHL blueliners with 56 points in the regular season, adding another 7 points in 10 games in the playoffs. Sookro, who just graduated as a 20-year-old, played 3 full seasons for the Bucks and the Kootenay local will head off to NCAA Division 1 Clarkson next season.
