Bucks add Austrian forward for 2025-26

The Cranbrook Bucks are beginning to put together some key pieces for next year’s roster, starting with a bit of pedigree up front.

Forward Konstantin Hutzinger, born in Wels, Austria, in 2007, has inked a commitment to the herd for the 2025-26 campaign.

Hutzinger boasts experience with the Salzburg U20 program in his native Austria, and has been tearing it up with the Bishop Kearny Selects program in upstate New York with 60 points through 62 games so far this season.

Bucks coach Ryan Donald says the talented forward will add plenty of options in the opposition zone next year.

“We are thrilled to have Konstantin in the fold with the Bucks for next season,” Donald says. “It was clear to our staff the Konstantin has the skill and ability to be an impact player in the BCHL next season, and we look forward to working with Konstantin to achieve his goals in hockey.”

Donald expects the Austrian prospect to make an immediate impact in the BCHL. “He is a dynamic player that can change the course of a game with his feet and his puck skill, which will make him an exciting player for Bucks fans to watch in the future!”

The Cranbrook Bucks wish to welcome Konstantin to the herd and to the City of Cranbrook.
