Bucks add Finnish import for 2024-25

From Helsinki to Cranbrook, the Cranbrook Bucks are pleased to introduce our newest forward.

Forward Rasmus Svartström from Helsinki, Finland, has committed to the Bucks for the 2024-25 season.

Svartström, a 2005-born forward, spent last season with KooKoo U20 in Finland where he put up 17  goals and 33 points through 47 games, he also boasts experience with the Finnish national U19 team.

Bucks coach Ryan Donald expects the European prospect to make an impact upon his arrival to the Key City.

“We are excited to add Rasmus to our organization this coming season,” says Donald. “Rasmus has shown an ability to produce offense while also playing a strong game inside the dots and along the walls. Our staff feels like Rasmus will be able to adjust to the North American game quickly and be able to add size and strength to our forward group. Our staff looks forward to helping grow Rasmus’ game and help him achieve his goal of playing NCAA hockey.”

The Cranbrook Bucks wish to welcome Rasmus to the club and the City of Cranbrook.
