The Cranbrook Bucks continue to prepare for the upcoming season with another new player set to join the herd.
The Bucks are officially welcoming 2006-born defenceman Quinn Keeler, a Calgary product who committed to the club late last season.
Keeler spent last season playing U18 AAA hockey with the Calgary Royals, he netted 22 points through 36 games and has experience at the Junior A level.
Bucks coach Ryan Donald expects Keeler to be a good fit for his blueline, and is excited about the prospect’s potential to become an offensive threat.
“Quinn is a defenseman that we feel fits our mold very well,” says Donald. “He is able to use his feet to create time and space for himself, and also possesses good puck skills to transition the game quickly, and break pucks out efficiently. His offensive game is solid and we feel that in time he will be able to be relied upon offensively as well. Quinn is a natural leader who holds high expectations for himself and his teammates, and we look forward to adding him to our team.”
The Cranbrook Bucks wish to welcome Quinn to the club and the City of Cranbrook.
