The Cranbrook Bucks are adding to their lineage of Ivy League-committed skaters in 2024-25.
The Bucks are welcoming 2007-born forward Maddex Marmulak to the club, the Middle Sackville, Nova Scotia, native is also committed to play NCAA hockey at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York.
Marmulak spent last season playing at the U18 level with the Halifax McDonalds program, he put up 22 goals and 49 points through 32 games in the 203-24 campaign, and added another 16 points through 13 playoff games. His strong season was recognized with the Nova Scotia U18 League’s MVP award.
Bucks coach Ryan Donald says the east coast prospect packs plenty of potential, and plays wisely on both sides of the ice.
“Maddex fits into our culture and our mold perfectly,” says Donald. “He is a competitive offensive player that has a lot of upside to what he can be in the BCHL. He was an important piece for a top team down the stretch, played key situations on both sides of the puck, and should be a player that develops and emerges into a productive offensive player during his time in Cranbrook. We are excited to see where his game can go over his career in Cranbrook and helping to best prepare him for NCAA hockey.”
The Cranbrook Bucks wish to welcome Maddex to the club and the City of Cranbrook.
