Bucks welcome new defenseman Jordan Murray

The Cranbrook Bucks (BCHL) are bolstering their blueline with a new acquisition.

The Bucks are welcoming 2006-born defenseman Jordan Murray to the herd.

The Decker, Manitoba native joins Cranbrook from the Portage Terriers of the MJHL, he’s suited up for for 6 games with the Terriers this season after posting 12 points through 39 games during the 2022-23 campaign.

Bucks coach Ryan Donald says Murray is a young player who boasts a combination of experience and confidence, a mix of traits which isn’t seen very often.

“Jordan gained valuable experience last season as a sixteen year old player with his team in Portage, and comes to Cranbrook as a player we believe can excel with our style of play, and continue to grow as a hockey player,” says Donald. “We look forward to working with Jordan to achieve his goal of playing NCAA hockey.”

This is the second addition to Cranbrook’s blueline through the early goings of the BCHL season following the arrival of former Salmon Arm Siverbacks defenseman Nic Leggett in late September.

The Cranbrook Bucks wish to welcome Jordan to the organization and the City of Cranbrook.
