Airey named BCHL Second Star of the Week

For the second time in two weeks, Cranbrook Bucks goaltender Nathan Airey has been named the BCHL’s NAPA 3 Stars of the Week.

This past weekend Airey went 2-0 in two very crucial games for the Bucks, while posting a 1.50 goals against average and .959 save percentage.

Airey made 34 saves on Friday in a 5-2 win against the West Kelowna Warriors, and then followed up the next day with 36 saves in a 4-1 win over the Penticton Vees.

“Excited again for Nate to recognized as the 2nd Star of the week,” said Bucks General Manager and Head Coach Ryan Donald. “He has certainly elevated his game over the last few weeks, and was exceptional over this past weekend in a pair of critical games for us.”

Airey is now 13-6-1 on the season, with a .930 save percentage and a 2.40 goals against average.
