Bucks Defenceman Cam Kungle Commits to LSSU

The Cranbrook Bucks are congratulating defenceman Cam Kungle who has committed to NCAA Division 1 hockey at Lake Superior State University (LSSU). The program is based out of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.

Kungle, a native of Red Deer, Alberta, has been a stalwart on Cranbrook’s blueline since joining the BCHL club for its initial season in the 2021 Penticton pod.

The calm defender’s demeanor on and off the ice has led to him taking an important role with the Bucks, he has been a part of the team’s leadership group as an assistant captain since the 2021-22 season.

Kungle is happy to be committed to a reputable Division 1 program.

“The program and the way they were with me, they were awesome along the way, and I couldn’t be happier,” says Kungle.

The 2002-born defenceman is on pace to beat his point totals from last season, he has 12 points (1 goal, 11 assists) through 14 games through 2022-23 compared to 17 points through 53 games in the 2021-22 season

The Cranbrook Bucks congratulate Kungle on this tremendous achievement.
