Cranbrook Bucks 2022-23 Leadership Group

The Cranbrook Bucks are excited to announce their leadership group for the 2022-23 BCHL Season. Rhys Bentham has been named captain, with Cam Kungle, Noah Quinn, and Kellan Hjartarson as assistants.

Bentham has played 71 games with the Bucks since the POD season in 2020-2021. He led the team as captain last season.

“Rhys has been a consummate leader for our group since we got up and running two seasons ago,” head coach and general manager Ryan Donald said, “and look forward to seeing him take the next steps as a captain and leader in our group.”

Quinn and Kungle have both been with the Bucks since the pod season, playing 58 and 68 games respectively. Hjartarson played in 54 games last season with the team.

“All of our assistants have shown their ability to lead in their own ways and are all well respected by their peers,” Donald said. “As our guys are certainly aware, our team success will follow from having a group of leaders in our locker room, whether wearing a letter or not. Cam, Noah and Kellan are three terrific examples of what we look for in our players, on the ice, off the ice, and within the Cranbrook community.”
