West Kelowna Warriors forward John Evans, Cranbrook Bucks forward Tyson Dyck and Coquitlam Express defenceman Ian Devlin have been named the BCHL 3 Stars of the Week.
2nd Star – Tyson Dyck (F) – Cranbrook Bucks
Dyck was a goal-scoring machine for the Bucks last week, lighting the lamp five times in three games, including two game-winning goals.
The Abbotsford, B.C. product score the only two goals of the game, including the overtime winner, on Thursday night in the Bucks 2-1 defeat of the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. He was named first star of the game.
On Saturday, Dyck recorded his first-career BCHL hat trick with all three goals coming in the third period, including his second straight game-winner, to lead Cranbrook to a come-from-behind 4-2 win road win against the Wenatchee Wild. Once again, he was the game’s first star.
Dyck and the rest of his teammates were shutout on Sunday evening in rematch against Wenatchee, which they lost 3-0.
The 18-year-old is the league’s fifth leading scorer with 64 points in 48 games, while his 31 goals put him fourth in the BCHL.
