GAME RECAP: Bucks Drop Ninth Matchup Against The Vees

The Cranbrook Bucks and the Penticton Vees met for the ninth time this season in a game that saw the Vees win by a score of 5-1.

It was the Penticton Vees that opened the scoring with a goal courtesy of Tristan Almonte. Just a few minutes later, Grayson Arnott tallied his fourth of the season on the powerplay to extend the Vees lead to 2. Noah Leibl answered less than 30 seconds later to get the Bucks on the board but Liam Malmquist was able to restore the Vees two-goal lead with his 7th goal of the season as the Vees took a 3-1 lead into the 1st intermission. Jacob Quillan was able to further extend the Vees lead with a powerplay goal at 14:01 of the 2nd period to give the Vees a 3-goal lead heading into the 3rd period. Tom Richter added to the Vees lead in the 3rd with his third of the season as the Vees went on to win by a score of 5-1. Cranbrook’s Nathan Airey stopped 22/27 shots while Penticton’s Kaleb McEachern stopped 12/13 shots.
